Enriching and empowering the community through litter prevention, waste management, beautification and recycling by means of education and enforcement.
I am from St. Louis, MO and earned a B.S. in Zoology at University of Wisconsin, Madison. I worked in outdoor education for 4.5 years in the Florida Keys and Southern California. I then worked as a dive-master, recreational fish sampler, environmental consultant and a fisheries observer in FL, HI, and AK. I went back to school and earned a masters degree in marine science at North Carolina State University and then began an 11 year career as a marine ecologist and communications specialist with NOAA in Beaufort, NC. I got married somewhere in there and we had a son. We all moved to Rockport on July 2, 2017 to be close to family. My husband is a teacher at RF High School and I work for the Coastal Bend Bays Foundation located in Corpus Christi.
