The permanent recycling centers at Lowe's are located at the store entrance and offer a free, convenient and easy way for customers to recycle rechargeable batteries, cell phones, compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) and plastic shopping bags. Customers can also drop off plastic plant trays, pots and tags for recycling at any Lowe's Garden Center in the continental United States.

Recycling Resources

Walmart is targeting zero waste  across its global operations.  In the U.S., more than 81% of the materials that flow through their stores, clubs, and distribution centers is being diverted from landfills. Walmart operations in Japan and the U.K. lead the way with a diversion rate of more than 90%, while Walmart Canada and Walmart Mexico divert more than 70%.
